The international children's camp "Artek" is located on the coast of the Black Sea
and stretches 6 km along the coats from the western foot of the Ayu-Dag to
Gurzuf. The range of Crimean Mountains protects it from cold winds. The sun
shines above the Artek 250 days a year. Cosy bays of the coast protect the sea from storms. Clear
mountain air filled with fragrance of centenarian cypresses and sea sprays.
Accommodation in convenient blocks with rooms for 6-10 persons having
facilities both in the rooms and on the floor, constant hot and cold water
supply. Five meals a day according to the balanced children's menu with the
system of choosing the dishes and arranging of smorgasbord.
Medical service. Organizing of various educational, creative, entertaining
pedagogical programs. School lessons during the school year. Crimea tours, sea
walks. A swimming-pool (sea water, water slides), participation in hobby groups
and artistic associations, a library, a computer club, sports grounds,
excursions. Service on the base--at the hotel "Artek" in Simferopol. Meeting of
children, when necessary , providing with board and overnight accommodation.
