The Auskoprut Hotel is situated in the houses № 7-9 in Grunwaldskaya street near the railway station. Houses, architectural monuments that are united functionally in a single complex built at the beginning of the XX century: house № 7 -- in 1907, № 9 -- in 1912. It is known that the owner of one of them was Zigel. Till 1939 the house was private property and was used according to its intended purpose (dwelling). Later administrative institutions were located in the houses.
In 1992 the Ukrainian-Austrian joint venture "Auskoprut" made the restoration and reconstruction of the building. The hotel's buildings create a single architectural ensemble. Its architectural style is secesia. As characteristic ones for the secesia style are elements of balconies: forged and moulded railing and corbels. In the same style the forged fence railing of the hotel's territory is made. The complex of houses № 7-9 is monumental and is one of the best architectural dominants of the city, it has preserved its previous appearance, and after the restoration in 1992 it has received refinement and is an adornment of the city.
